I’m not saying goodbye, just, so long for now. I can’t seem to function without Gary. He took my heart and part of my soul when he died. I ask God everyday to just get me through this day, I can’t think about tomorrow or anything else. The silence in my house is deafening. I’m moving to my brothers this weekend, hopefully one day there will be laughter again.

1 month agoSusie, it is way too soon for you to feel anything other than what you are feeling. It is a long road to finding some solid ground again. It takes time to figure out how to just get through each hour. And when you think you have, another wave comes. Don't rush yourself ... there is no timeline.
You are enduring incredible loss, you have to feel it to move forward.
I went basically 4 months and then had my breakdown. And trust me, the first year sucks.

1 month agoBut, Susie, you will still have joy, laughter and life. Your feelings are valid and YOURS ... don't let anyone dictate your grief. Allow yourself your pain but also your joy. If you can find a support group or therapist, you will benefit from that.
