(1/3) Good Morning 🌞 It’s been a busy week helping my daughter get ready for her mission trip to Italy along with preparing to go out of town myself. I flew down to FL yesterday and my husband will join me at our house here today. My son seems to be adjusting well in his new place. He’s also been training for an assistant manager position at his workplace and just passed the test yesterday. This is a goal he has been working towards and I’m so proud of him. 3 months ago(2/3)…my son is on the higher end of the autism spectrum. My point is to say it’s a big step his moving into his own apartment and achieving this new position at work. I know those of you who follow me are used to hearing me talk about how proud I am of my daughter or the health issues she’s endured but I want to take a moment to say how proud I am of my son. He has struggled so much in his almost 27 years of life but he’s come a long way. Praise God in all His help on this journey 🙏🏻

3 months ago God is so good, Carol! I’m in tears over your good news! My daughter went on short term missions trips to Costa Rica, Korea, and Arizona. Is your daughter doing a long term? I am certified for teaching those with disabilities, I so understand your pride. What an amazing feat! Sending you hugs!

3 months agoWonderful news about your son and I understand the joy that you most be having for him. My 28 years old son has Aspergers ( now called higher functioning autism) and he is super intelligent. I struggled a lot with him when he was younger with anger and suicidal tendencies but he still now has his issues but he has been doing better, he still lives with me and my brother due to financial issues and he doesn’t like to be around people that he doesn’t know.

Hope he gets promoted to the assistant manager job and enjoys his new apartment. You definitely have the right to be proud of both of your children. They have both overcome some serious challenges in their young lives (illness, etc.) and despite these challenges seem to be thriving 👏👏👏👏👍
