Good Morning ๐ŸŒž I think I figured out whatโ€™s going on with me in looking back over my discharge papers, tests, and doing some digging. My alt & ast liver enzymes are slightly elevated and the CT scan showed a fatty liver. Both things can cause upper abdominal pain and fatigue. The fatty liver could be bc Iโ€™m diabetic or alcohol (my dad got cirrhosis and cardiomyopathy in his 60s and felt like he might have a gene that made him more sensitive to alcohol). Either way, my liver is stressed soโ€ฆ

โ€ฆIโ€™m going to stop having my nightly glass or 2 of wine. My husband and I got into that bad habit during our autistic sonโ€™s teenage years but we need to deal with stress differently. Anyway, Iโ€™m going to discuss everything with my PCP on Tue and Iโ€™ve decided to start seeing a cardiologist too. With both my mom and dad having heart disease and being diabetic, itโ€™s probably best. Thanks so much for all of your concern & support. I love my Recolor family ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿค—

Well at least you have an idea of whatโ€™s happening - the worst part is guessing. I hope you get some answers with your PCP - my experience is being my own best advocate and doing the research then I tell them whatโ€™s wrong - I hope you start to feel better - if you need to talk you know where to find me โ™ฅ๏ธ

Oh feel better soon . The liver can repair itself so look after yourself. You will be on the mend sooner than you thought especially knowing that you can fit it. . All the best . This is coloured brilliantly โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Yes in the last 20 years or so researchers and doctors have learned an incredible amount about the liverโ€™s regenerative powers. I am glad you are seeing medical professionals. Some of them are dismissive jerks (the ER dr. you saw the other night?) but when there are such real issues involved medical inputโ€”along with self advocacyโ€”are needed. Faith helps immensely also, and I know your family has that โ™ฅ๏ธ

My daughter had fatty liver and was able to repair hers with a change in diet. Hers was caused by celiac disease. Hopefully you're on the road to recovery !

My daughter's fatty liver was caused by her celiac disease going untreated . (I had to ask her for clarification as this was years ago.) They discovered the fatty liver first, then after tests found she was gluten intolerant.
